ActivInspire 500 Series Boards allow users to control the ActivBoard with the ActivPens as well as with their finger.

How do I know if I have a 500 Series Board?

Look at the ActivBoard logo found on the bottom right corner of your board. If there is an image of a finger pointing, then you have a touch board!

To enable full touch support:

  1. Go to View > Customize
  2. Click on the Settings tab
  3. Click on Dual Mode ActivBoards found on the left
  4. Click on the Touch Input Handling drop down and select Full Touch Support

You will notice that your main toolbar has now changed to support the touch functionality.A pen icon and a finger icon appear where the color palette once was, indicating the tool that the input is set to.

With full touch support, you can:

  • Use two fingers to rotate objects on the flipcharts page.
  • Select an image using one finger from each hand. Move fingers together to zoom out, move fingers apart to zoom in.
  • Repeat this process to zoom in or out of the entire page.
  • To pan the page use two fingers in a V shape and drag it.
  • Touch two images simultaneously to group them.
