Pens do not work when trying to use the Promethean Board.

Aloha,

If you board is not being detected and it appears that the pens are not working please power cycle your Promethean Board. You can do this by unplugging the main power to the board and disconnecting the USB cable from your Computer. Once the power is disconnected, restart your computer and plug the power back into the board.

If problems still occur please make sure to install the latest Driver. The link is listed below:

Before installing this driver, please unplug any USB cables from the computer and unplug the ActivHub if applicable. Continue with the installation from there.

Once completed see if the ActivBoard works when connected to the computer. Please verify that the USB cable is connected from the board to your computer.

If the ActivBoard still is not recognized continue to the steps listed below:

Unplug all USB cables from your computer and restart your computer.

Once the computer restarts and is ready to use, please plug the USB cables back into your computer.

Windows will reinstall the USB devices and within a few minutes you will recieve a message stating "your device is installed and ready to use".

Restart your computer and try to connect your ActivBoard. Everything should now work fine.

If your Promethean board is still not being recognized please try plugging the USB cable into a different USB port on the computer. This should resolve any issues with the pens not working.
